Flexible robot system AL-MINI

Do you need to laser weld directly in wind turbines, in generators, turbines or on large components? If the component is too large for the range of your laser system or the laser system is too large for the work location (wind turbine) then the flexible robot welding system AL-MINI comes into play.

The robotic system with laser optics has a weight of only 6 kg and can be mounted to the work site by one person via the magnetic base or adaptive mounts. The laser welding process is observed in 3D via augmented reality pass-through glasses.

When looking through the video laser safety goggles, the user sees the video image of the welding area and the outside world. The welding area is shown enlarged and the process-relevant data, such as the crosshairs, are directly superimposed. At the same time, the video laser safety goggles serve to protect the eyes from laser radiation when working with open laser systems.

The mini-robot is controlled manually via the joystick. The movement can be in a pre-teached plane X, Y, Z direction or tilted by the function switch via the tool center point. The travel distance is 300 × 300 × 300 mm.

The additional welding material is fed by an automatic wire feeder, or by hand, as usual for manual laser repair welding.

ALPHA LASER AL-F models up to 450 W fiber lasers can be used as the laser source and connected via the standardized interfaces.
