Modular integration
Microscope image of laser fixation with the AL-LASERFIX 600 F
Laser-based flange fixation without an additional welding cell
The robotic system AL LASERFIX 600 F is designed for efficient flange fixation of automotive body panels. Due to its classification as a Class 1 laser system, no additional laser safety enclosure is required. In addition, the laser process eliminates the need for cost-intensive gas ovens previously used for adhesive curing on body panels.
COST REDUCTION
Pulsed laser welding enables immediate fixation after the flange process, eliminating curing ovens and additional process steps.
MODULAR INTEGRATION
The AL-Laserfix 600 F comprises a laser processing head, a control unit with an integrated laser source, an energy chain, and an extraction system. Its modular design allows seamless integration into existing production environments.
NO LASER SAFETY ENCLOSURE REQUIRED
The closed system design meets the requirements of Class 1 laser safety. No additional laser safety measures or separate external safety enclosures are required.
PRECISION WELDING
The AL-Laserfix 600 F has been developed for high-precision pulsed laser welding of flange edges in automotive body-in-white manufacturing and is designed for reproducible fixation processes.
STANDARD PROCESS
In automotive body-in-white manufacturing, ovens are required immediately after bonding to cure adhesives and ensure sufficient fixation of components.
THE CHALLENGE
These ovens are costly. Without curing, excessive vibration can occur during transport, potentially causing components to deform or shift.
