Orbital Welding

In orbital welding, the laser beam is rotated 360° around the workpiece to be welded without interruption. The movement is programmed.

The LASERSPINDLE-O is used for automatic circular welding of rotationally symmetrical, metallic components. Components in the diameter range 0 - 20 mm can be welded.

In orbital welding, the laser process head is guided around the round component. In this process, the seam is welded together in one pass and without interruption.

The co-rotating gas nozzle allows optimum gas coverage on the workpiece. By means of HDMI camera and integrated LED lighting, the laser process can be easily and precisely adjusted to the workpiece as well as monitored. The LASERSPINDLE-O is completely water-cooled and therefore suitable for continuous operation.

This circular welding optic is used, for example, for welding water connections on plate heat exchangers, welding of various nozzles or in the series production of gas sensors.
