A major advantage of pulsed laser welding in sheet metal processing – compared to other thermal joining methods – is the minimal heat input. This reduces distortion and eliminates the need for subsequent straightening. Visible seams benefit from the excellent appearance of the weld. Especially when welding stainless steel, extensive post-processing is no longer necessary.

Laser welding systems from ALPHA LASER process steel sheets, as well as sheets made of copper, aluminum, and other metallic materials, particularly quickly and cleanly. Due to the low heat input of our laser machines, even very thin wall thicknesses can be welded. Different sheet thicknesses can also be joined effortlessly. Gaps of up to 0.5 millimeters can be bridged without any filler material.

We offer laser systems for sheet metal processing that are perfectly matched to your production requirements – from delicate micro-welding to large-scale sheet metal assemblies. The enclosed ALV laser system is ideal for stationary laser welding of small parts, for micro-welding, and for many other applications in sheet metal processing. Large workpieces can be welded with the ALW, a laser-safe workstation that requires no additional safety precautions – or with the open and mobile laser welding unit ALFlak.
