HIGH-PERFORMANCE 1200 WATT SYSTEMS FROM ALPHA LASER

Our 1200-watt systems enable a wide range of applications including shaft repair, hardfacing with wire and powder, and casting repair in hydropower plants. These systems are particularly suited for large and sensitive parts where conventional TIG welding encounters difficulties caused by crack formation and overheating.

Our 1200 watt lasers enable precision welding of wires with a diameter of 1.6 mm, a process comparable to TIG and MIG welding.

Our 1200 watt laser welding systems combine the following benefits:

  • No preheating of large parts needed
  • Minimal deformation thanks to reduced heat transfer into the material, facilitating the welding of challenging and sensitive metals without crack formation
  • Choice of pulsed or continuous welding depending on the application

Our systems meet the strict safety requirements of Performance Level d.

Advantages

ALPHA LASER OFFERS TWO 1200 WATT MACHINES

AL 1200 F: for the toughest conditions

The AL 1200 F is our most powerful laser for demanding heavy-duty applications. It features a completely closed welding system that can withstand even the toughest conditions, letting no ambient air into the unit. All parts, including the optics and electronics, are protected against dirt. Water-cooled laser modules keep the system from overheating during welding at high material application rates (1.6 mm wire at a rate of 1 m per minute).

The AL 1200 F requires a travel system such as AL-T Basis C or an LAV 100 NL application unit.

ALFlak 1200 F: automated welding processes

The ALFlak 1200 F is a mobile welding unit with four axes (x, y, z and r) and integrated software. It is ideal for automated processes and can be used with an AL-DV automated wire feed or with a powder nozzle for powder deposition welding. We offer the Mabotic Scanner Kit to make programming even easier. It can be used to scan, program and weld complex component geometries and ensure maximum efficiency and precision.

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS

Both models feature numerous optional add-ons such as rotation axes, heavy-duty rotation axes, and turn-and-tilt lenses for precise laser beam positioning. The ALFlak system also includes an automatic wire feed (AL-DV), a powder nozzle for automated powder deposition welding, and a powder feeder (AL-PF).

AUTOMATION

The illustrated component was designed with Mabotic software and then produced automatically with powder deposition.
Many welding jobs can be automated, such as programming welding seams with WINLaserNC software (circular welds, surface deposition, etc.) or scanning surfaces for powder deposition welding, for which we offer the Mabotic software with Scanner Kit.

MABOTIC SCANNER KIT

Complex component geometries are no longer a problem. The machine can digitise complex workpiece surfaces with a 3D surface scanner. The scanned workpiece data is used to plan and program the weld paths; no laborious teaching is needed as the software communicates directly with the machine. And since the Weldfactory software is intuitive to use, no programming skills are needed.
